This policy explains how Grilly Willy ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information. We handle your information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). We collect only what we need to run the club.

  • Account details: your name and email address when you sign up.
  • Delivery details: your postal address — collected only when you win and need a prize delivered.
  • Payment details: handled entirely by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your full card number.
  • Usage data: basic analytics about how you use the site, such as pages visited and actions taken.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To create and manage your membership and process your subscription.
  • To enter you into draws, notify you if you win, and deliver prizes.
  • To send you membership communications — the newsletter, draw updates, and winner announcements. Marketing emails always include a working unsubscribe link.
  • To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
  • To meet our legal and trade promotion record-keeping obligations.

3. Third Parties

We share data only with service providers who help us run the club:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
  • Loops — email delivery for membership and marketing communications.
  • PostHog — privacy-conscious product analytics.
  • Licensed butcher partners — your delivery details are shared only when fulfilling a prize you have won.

We do not sell your personal information. Some providers may store data overseas; where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to measure how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect parts of the site.

5. Data Retention

We keep your account information for as long as you are a member and for a reasonable period afterwards. Records relating to draws and prizes are retained as required by Australian trade promotion rules (typically at least three years). We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, unless we are required to keep it.

You can request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate.
